The Give Me 5 Campaign is proud partner of Smart City X, a student-led workshop on the 23rd & 24th of September, 2017 dedicated to smart systems and sensors and their applications in the monitoring of infrastructures, water resources, and public health.

The workshop will take place at Norman D. Hébert Conference Room (Room 2.260), Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV Building), Concordia University, 1515 Saint Catherine St W, Montreal, QC H3G 2W1.

Distinguished speakers from academia and related industries will shed light on corresponding challenges while you will develop your knowledge and skills across various sectors. The organization has been established after securing an award from IC-IMPACTS Research Center through a competition among Canadian and Indian universities.

The workshop will be hosting professors from several universities in Canada and US such as McGill University, Columbia University in the city of New York, etc. as well as professional industrial companies such as Neurotechx. Furthermore, entrepreneurship sessions organized by District 3 Innovation Center will take place on the second day of the event.

Real-world experiences of cities and local governments have been consistently showing that using smart systems and sensors can address various challenges. The primary objective of the Smart City X Workshop  is to bring together industry and academia to exchange new advances and ideas on smart systems and sensors to build up a smart city and help participants develop your innovative thinking skills through multi-disciplinary approaches.
